Greetings! My name is Anuja Uppuluri. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas ๐ and now live in San Francisco, California แจ เฝผ โผ. I am a computer scientist and artifical intelligence & machine learning researcher among other things.
I currently do research at Anthropic to figure out how to make Claude more wise.
I'm an alumna of Carnegie Mellon University and graduated with a B.S. in May 2025 ๐๐ .
I am passionate about LLM post-training, interpretability, reinforcement learning, and AI safety. I believe advanced intelligence will benefit all of humanity. My goal is to help get there and make sure that path doesn't introduce risks.
Aside from technical pastimes (such as hobbyist programming & game development) I also enjoy painting, meditating, listening to & making music, writing, playing chess & Clash Royale, films & shows, reading, taking long walks, and most other enjoyable hobbies people partake in.
